Congrats on your win, Lone Gunmen.  My team managed to stumble through the playoffs and I was hoping for one more lucky win

Great team, it was the clear the better team won this game.

Now, time to plan for 2009!

Thanks Jason.  You have turned your team totally around from a couple years back and your commitment is very evident. Great job getting to the championship.  You got hosed a a few tough matchups, whereas I got pretty lucky for week #16.

Hope both of us meet again in 2009.

Happy Holidays to you and everyone in the league and......................bring on the trading!

Lee,

Probably can't help you on the Turner reversal, but it took two years for it to pay off, at least.  The injury to Shaub really skewed it in my favor.

Ya know, as I look back at the season,it really was a story of a lot of seemingly pretty small moves.  I traded for T Jones the year before and he did very little in 2007.  I was figuring he would be cut by me before 2009.  This guy finished as the #3 RB in our league?  Wow, who would have ever thought that? I figured Turner would be okay, but no one was more disppointed than me that he went to Atlanta in the off season. Again, who would have figured he would finish so high with guys like Barber, AP, Bush, Westbrook, LT2 and a host of others still around kicking?  Picking up Eddie Royal right before the season really helped me since the Palmer injury murdered Housh (typically a top 7-10 WR)and Colston was out 1/2 the year with an injury. The JETS D really came through for me most of the year.  They are no Baltimore, but not bad for a late summer pickup!  The mid-seaon trade for Matt Ryan happened right before he took off performance wise.  I gave up a decent RB in the trade (K Smith), but Browns had a plethora of QBs and no RBs so the trade worked out for both teams, I think.  Without him, I go nowhere due to Edwards being less effective and hurt the last 1/3 of the year.

I also caught some other teams with injuries throughout the year that really helped me gain favorable seeding.  And of course, I had tremendous luck and decent playoff matchups.

Happy Holidays to everyone and see you next year.
