(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 GLFFL - Otto Graham League battle, *Lone Gunmen embarrassed a hapless *Warp Speed Warriors team by a score of 123.30 to 76.05, extending the winning streak for *Lone Gunmen to 4 games.
*Lone Gunmen were led to their 47.25 point victory by a 24.90 point effort from Marques Colston, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 99 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds. With this performance, Colston was the number 1 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 14.90 point effort from Brandon Marshall, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 129 receiving yards. "This win is for all the fans," *Lone Gunmen coach Robert Hayes said. *Warp Speed Warriors were helped out in a losing cause by a 26.55 point effort from Drew Brees, who tore apart the Detroit Lions defense for 351 passing yards and 2 passing tds. With this performance, Brees was the number 6 ranked quarterback for week 16. They also got help from a 13.10 point effort from Vincent Jackson, who beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 111 receiving yards. "Turnovers killed us," *Warp Speed Warriors coach Jason R. Rose said. This brings the record for *Lone Gunmen to 12-3, and drops *Warp Speed Warriors to a record of 10-5. | ||
